Kentschire. Also : Kynt- and -schyr(e. The name of the English county of Kent. b. Kentschyre claith, cloth, Kentish cloth, a species of cloth manufactured in Kent. (Cf. e.m.E. Kentyshe cloth (1566) and Kent n.2). — c1500 Fyve Bestes 135.
