[e.m.E. paccion, pactyon (Caxton), OF. paction, paccion (14th c. in Godef.), L. pactio, f. paciscere to agree.] An agreement, covenant or compact (with, also to, one person, by another, or betwix the parties); a contract; a bargain. b.
