Parur, -our, n. [Late ME. and e.m.E. parowre (Prompt. Parv.), -ure (1449–50), parrer (1527), an ornament for an alb, etc. (obs. in this sense after 1527), med. L. parura, f. L. parāre to prepare, make ready. Cf. also Parrok n.2] An ornamental trimming for an ecclesiastical vestment. — c1420 Wynt. ix. 596.
