BLOCHER, v. To make a gurgling noise in coughing. [′blɔxər]Bnff.4 1934; Abd.22 1935:
Fat's adee wi ye that y're aye blocherin and spittin.Ags., Per. 1825 Jam.2; Ags.2 1935:
To make such a guggling noise in coughing as to indicate that there is a great quantity of catarrh in the throat. It is generally conjoined to another term, Cougherin' and Blocherin'.
