GEDDICK, n. Also geddek, gidd-, giddack, geed-. The lesser sand eel, Ammodytes tobianus (Sh. 1809 A. Edmonston Zetland II. 307, 1866 Edm. Gl., giddack, 1908 Jak. (1928), geddek, gidd-, 1914 Angus Gl., geddick; Sh. 1954). Comb. sandy geedack (Sh. 1899 A. H. Evans and T. E. Buckley Fauna Shet. 227).
