WOLF, n., v. Also wulf (Gall. a.1897 R. Ringan's Plewman Cracks 46). Sc. form and usage in wolf's teeth, the stump of a rainbow, esp. one seen on the sea and supposed to presage bad weather (Bnff., Abd. 1974, where teeth is the reg. sing. form). See Tuith, 2. For other Sc. forms and usages see Oof.
