Knok-makar, n. Also: knock-, knoak-, cknock-, and -maker, -air, -macker. [Cf. ME. and e.m.E. clo(c)kmaker (1453).] A clock-maker; one who makes (and repairs) clocks. 1540 Treas. Acc. VII. 335.
