Unmarkit, -merkit, p.p. and ppl. adj. Also: unmarked, onmarcat, -merkit. [Late ME and e.m.E. vnmarked (15th c.); Markit ppl. adj.] Not identified by a distinguishing mark, stamp or brand: a. p.p. Also fig. b. ppl. adj.a. 1487 Acts II 179/1.
