Awaytaking, vbl. n. Also: away-takeing, -takin, -tackin, -takking. [Away adv. 1.] Taking away, carrying off.In common use c 1480 to 1620, often in conjunction with spoliatioun or reifing, and with the adj. wrangwis. 1466 Acta Aud. 6/1.
