Hostilar, Hostelar, n. Also: hostillare, -ellar, -el(l)er; hoistellar, -er. [ME. hosteler etc., hostiler (c 1290), OF. hostelier, med.L. hostel(l)arius. Cf. Hostlar.] A keeper of a hostelry; an innkeeper.(a) 1424 Acts II. 6/2.
