FUSSY-PUNDS, n. comb. The Yorkshire fog or velvet grass, Holcus lanatus (Ork. 1929 Marw.; Ork.5 1953).
[The first element is a variant of Eng. fuzzy, fluffy, in reference to the appearance of the flower-heads. For the second, cf. Icel. pundur, Norw. dial. punt, a kind of bent grass.]
