Cornel, n. Also: cornnell, kirnale. [ME. cornel (c 1440), OF. cornal, late L. cornale. Cf. Quarnall n.] A corner; a corner-stone. Also attrib. with stane. a1500 Taill of Rauf Coilȝear 682.
