BAKIN(G)-CASE, n. A kneading-trough.Sc. 1825 Jam.2:
The Back-bread . . . is the board on which the dough is kneaded in the baking-case.
Abd.2 1932:
Bakin' Case was the drawer from the kitchen table or dresser which had only three deep sides — — the front and two sides — the back side being only about an inch high. It was reversed and placed on the table, the low side to the front.
