GRAMSHOCH, adj., n.

I. adj. Of vegetation: coarse, rank (Ayr. 1825 Jam.).

II. n. An appearance of the sky indicating a heavy fall of snow or hail (Ib.).

[? Gram (see etym. note) + -shach (-ish + -ach). But the word is rather suspect.]
