Cuddeich, Cuddich(e, n. Also: coddech, cuddech(t, -ach, cuideich; cuddyche, -icht, cudich(t, cuidichie; cowdeich, cowdeche. [Gael. cuid oidhche ‘night-portion’. Cf. Coddacheich, and Anglo-Irish cuddie (15–16th c.).] A night's entertainment due from a tenant to his superior, or the equivalent of this in value; a night's provisions.1505 Exchequer Rolls XII. 353.
