Edder, Eddir, n. Also: edir, eddyr(e, eddar; pl. edris, -ryse, eddris, -rys. [ME. edder, eddyr, eddre, aphetic forms of nedder, neddyr, neddre, OE. nædre.] An adder. Also fig.(a) a1400 Legends of the Saints xviii. 427.
