Umbesetting, Ombesetting, vbl. n. Also: wmbesetting, unbesettin(g, -setteyn(g, ombesettinge, onbesetting. [Umbeset v.] The action of obstructing a. A person, so as to prevent their progress, or b. A (person's) path, a thoroughfare, etc. Also const. to (a person). c. Such action specified as a criminal offence.a. 1532 Acta Conc. & Sess. (St. S.) 97.
