Sichting, vbl. n. Also: sichteing, sycht(t)ing, sighting, sigththing. [Sicht v.; cf. mod. Eng. sighting (c1752).] The action of looking at, examining, inspecting, etc., examination, inspection (of a thing or place). Also without prep.(1) 1561–2 Dumfries B. Ct. 52b.
