Interlocutour, -loquutour, -loquitour, n. Also: -locutor, -loqutour, -loquitur, -tor(e. [med. L. interlocutorium, -urum, -loquitorius (13–14th c.). App. not in English use before the 18th c.] In law: A judgement or judicial order pronounced in the course of a suit, but not finally determining the suit.‘The term, however, in Scotch practice, is applied indiscriminately to the judgments or orders of the Court, or of the Lords Ordinary, whether they exhaust the question at issue or not’ (Bell).(a) 1515 Fife Sheriff Ct. 9.
