Turcas, Turkas, n. Also: turcase, -ace, turkase, -is, -e(i)s, -ose, -ische, twrkes, turques, tourkas, -es. [ME and e.m.E. turkeis (Trevisa), tourques (1530), turkas (1551), turcois (1567), OF turqueise, -quaise, MDu. turcoys, turckois, med. L. turchīnus.]
