Bancour, n. Also: bankour, -ure; bancoir, bankor, banquhoir; banker; bankware, -var. [ME. banker (1311). also bankqwer, bankewere (1483), e.m.E. banckwarre (16th c.), OF. banquier, bankier, f. banc bench.] A covering for a bench or seat. (See also Bonker.)(a) c1450-2 Howlat 672.
