Amove, Amuff, v.1 Also: amoue, amowe, ammove. [Early ME. amove, OF. amover, amovoir, amouvoir, L. admovēre.]
1. tr. To affect with strong emotion; to stir up or excite; to annoy or anger. 1375 Barb. iii. 524.
