Cheld, Cheild, n. Also: chelde, cheyld; pl. chelder, cheilder; cheldren(e, -een, -ein, cheld(e)ring, cheildreen, -ein. [Variant of Child n., with change of ĭ to ē as in beld Beild v. In mod. Sc. used only in sense 2.]
