Consait, Consate, n. Also: consayt; conseit, -set, -seate. [ME. consayte, conseyt(e, -seit(e, etc. (late 14th c.), variant of conceite, etc., Conceat n.]
1. A device or scheme; a stratagem. c1420 Wynt. vi. 1259.
