Gud(e, Guid, n. Also: gwd(e, guide, goid, goud, goode. Pl. gudis, -ys, -es, guddis, guds(e; guidis, guides, guydes, guids, gui-, guyddis; gwydis, -es, gwid(d)is; gowddis, gowidis; goodis, -es. [Northern ME. guyd (1435), gude (c 1400), pl. gudes (c 1300), absol. use of the adj.]
