Hog, Hogg, n.¹ Also: hoge, hoig; houg. [Northern ME. hog (1350), current in later and mod. Eng. local use.] A young sheep which has not yet had its first shearing, a yearling. Hervest hog: see Hervest n. Also transf.(a) 1306 Acts I. 178.
