Hurd, Hurde, v. Also: huird, huerd, hwyrd, hoord. [North. e.m.E. hurd, e.m.E. and ME. hoorde, ME. horde(n, OE. hordian.]

1. tr. To hoard treasure, money, or saleable commodities. Also const. up.a. c1420 Wynt. i. 1614 (W).
Baith gold and siluer he gert hyde, That ȝit lyis hurdit to this tyde c1460 Thewis Wysmen 25.
