Ingine, Ingyn(e, n. Also: ingin, -giane, -gynd, -jyne, -gyine, -gene, -gein(e, -geyn(e. [Late ME. ingin(e, yngyne (c 1440), var. of Engine n., with in as in the original L. ingenium.]
