Intromit, Intromet, v. Also: -mitt, -myt(t, -mytte, -mett. P.t. and P.p. -mit(t)it, -mittyt, -myttit, -mettit, -meittit (p.p. -met); Entromet, Entermet. [ME. intromitte (a 1450). -mete (1492), e.m.E. -mit (1531), L. intrōmittere. In the verb and verbal n. the forms in met appear early and in later use are more frequent than those in mit.]
1. intr. To occupy oneself, especially by interference or intrusion, with property or possessions belonging to another; to deal with anything in this way.(a) 1444 Aberd. B. Rec. I. 10.
