Jevel(l)o(u)r, n. Also: jevellor, jewellour; jeavellour; jevilo(u)r, jevillour, jewillour, gevillor; jevalour; jeavlour, jeyvlo(u)r. [In Sc. recorded earlier than Javel(l)o(u)r, q.v. Cf. Jeveller, Javel(l)o(u)r and Jeylour.] A jailer. Also attrib. With fie.(a) 1477 Lennox Mun. 115.
