Mene, Mein(e, a.2 Also: meyn(e, mean. [ME. (1340) and e.m.E. men(e, meane, OF. men, meen, meien (also moien, moyen: see Moyen).]

1. Occupying a middle position, middle, intermediate.Mene (= middle) gait or way (= course), = L. via media.(1) 1375 Barb. vi. 347 (E).
