Mortancestor, n. Also: -ancester, -ansister, -ancessour. [Med. L. mors antecessor-is, AF. mordancestre, mort d'auncestre, e.m.E. mortauncestor (1540), -aunceter (1523), mortdauncestour (1543), etc. Only early in Sc.] = Mortancestry n.

Also plur., as also in med. L. (breve de) morteantecessorum (1437 Cal. Charters Suppl. 28 Nov.). (1318 Statut. Robt. I in) 14.. Acts I. 111/2.
