Regalité, -ie, n. Also: regall-, rigal-, ragal- and -ity, -yté, -ytey, -etie, -ietie, -itee; Regalitate. [Late ME and e.m.E. regalite local jurisdiction properly appertaining to the king (once, 1414), sovereign rule or jurisdiction (1422), a monarchical state (1486), a right or privilege appropriate to a king (1523), AF and OF regalité, med.
