Sarray, Sarré, adv. (F. serré (c1112 in Larousse), in close order, p.p. of serrer (Sarris v., pres.) to hold tightly, shut tightly, tighten, close, etc. Cf. also Sarraly adv.1) — 1375 Barb. viii 296 (C).
