Scottis se(e, Scots sea, n. Also: Scottes and sey. [Scottis adj. 2 and Se n.¹, med. L. (Sc.) mare scocie (see quot. Acts I below).] The Firth of Forth; the Forth estuary. Originally regarded as dividing the Kingdom of the Scots from Lothian.(a) 1375 Barb. ix 310.
