Capidosé, Capadosy, n. Also: capedose, capidoce, capeydose, cappiedosie, cappadose, -dosye, capodocie. [Cf. ME. capados (14th c.), a hood.] A kind of cap.In Aberd. a cap, generally that of a boy, as for example what is called ‘a hairy cap’, still receives the name of Capie-dossie (J). 1546 Acta Conc. MS.
