BOICH, Boch, Byoch, v., n. [bɔx, bjɔx]

1. v. “To cough with difficulty” (Lnk. 1825 Jam.2; Abd.22 1935, boch; Abd.9 1935, byoch). Cf. Baichie. vbl.n. boichin, “a continuation of coughing with difficulty” (Ib.).

2. n. “A short difficult cough” (Ib.).

Hence boicher, n., “one who coughs in this way” (Ib.).
