EVERLESTIN', adj. Also everlesteen. Sc. forms and usage of Eng. everlasting. Used adv. and quasi-n. in adv. phr. for (a (guid)) everlestin', for a considerable or seemingly interminable while (Rxb. 1923 Watson W.-B.; Bnff.2, Ags.19, Knr.1, Bwk.3, Peb.2, m.Lth.1, Rxb.4 1944). Also found in Nhp., w.Midl. and Suf. dials. [ɛvər′lɛstɪn Sc., but s.Sc. -in]Ayr. 1823 Galt Entail xx.:
