FRITHAT, adv.phr. Also -et, -it, fithit; f'ra'dat (Sh.). For all that, notwithstanding, nevertheless (Ayr. 1811 W. Aiton Agric. Ayr. 689; Fif., Dmf., Rxb. 1825 Jam.). Cf. Fra'at.Rnf. 1805 G. McIndoe Poems 146:
Frithat I mind, when right weel on, A million o' your dons — quo John.
Sh. 1822 S. Hibbert Descr. Shet. 512:
We gat tw'ar'tree fish f'ra'dat.
Upp.Cld. 1825 Jam.:
An exclamation confirming what is said; as, “Will ye dude? Na, fithit!”
