HEELACK, n. An eel-like fish, the hagfish, Myxine glutinosa (Abd. 1878 Trans. Nat. Hist. Soc. Abd. 93), “often found within the bodies of haddock, cod, and coalfish” (ne.Sc. 1903 G. Sim Fauna of “Dee” 283).
