KUPA, n. A fisherman's taboo-name for a boat's scoop (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), 1914 Angus Gl.). [′kupə]Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928):
Tak de kupa and ous de bloda! take the scoop and bale out the water.
