The works of J. K. Annand


J. K. Annand (1908-1993) was a Scottish writer, poet and translator. He generously bequeathed the rights to his work, and royalties from it, to the Scottish National Dictionary Association, one of the predecessor companies of Dictionaries of the Scots Language. He was particularly known for his Scots poems for children, and his publications include the following collections:

A new edition of a selection of these poems was published in 2024 as Scots Poems for Bairns.

We are very pleased to be the custodians of all his work and will be delighted to receive requests to reproduce it. You must obtain our permission if you wish to use any of J. K. Annand’s published work.
