Annul, Annull, v. Also: anul. [ME. anulle, annulle (c 1400), OF. anuller, L. annullāre.]
1. tr. To make null, esp. in law. (Cf. Adnull v.)1456 Hay I. 205/6 (he suld ask that fals jugement to be annullit). 1498 Bk. Carlaverock II. 451 (to reuolk and annull the resignatioun). 1508 Reg. Privy S. I. 250/2 (we cas and annulis the samyn). 1562-3 Winȝet II. 26/22 (abolissit, annullit, and trampit under fute). 1596 Dalr. II. 60/6 (quhen the kingis authoritie war anulit).
2. intr. To become null.1591 Reg. Great S. 643/2 (this few chartour sall annull and dissolve in the self).
