Conserve, Conserf, v. Also: conserwe, -sarve, -sarwe, -serffe. [ME. conserve (Chaucer), OF. conserver, L. conservāre.]
1. tr. To keep safe or in good condition; to preserve from being lost or damaged. c1400 Troy-bk. ii. 412.
