Demi-culvering, n. Also: demy, demee, dymmie culvering; demye culvreine. [e.m.E. demie culverin (1587), -ing, F. demi-coulevrine.] A small culverin, of about four and a half inches bore. Also attrib.1573 Treas. Acc. MS. 248.
