Grese, Gresche, n. Also: gres, gris(e, greis, greis(c)he. [ME. (greys,) grees, gres(e, grece (c 1290), OF. gresse, greisse, beside cresse, creisse: see Crese and Cresche. The latter are the more common Sc. forms.] Grease, fat, dripping. Also fig.(a) 14.. Acts I. 305/2.
