*Hundskule, n. [Late ME. hounscale (c 1436 Archæologia XXXIII. (1849) 130), MLG. hundeskogel, MDu. and Flem. hondescovel(e, hontscovel, -cogel, lit. ‘dog’s-hood'.] A variety of helmet. —See Hudskule n. in Dict., which should no doubt read hu[n]dskule.
