(= Over adv. 2) and ME. (c 1400) and e.m.E. (1482, 1567) terve, tirve to turn over or upside down. Cf. Overtirve.] tr. To overturn or throw down. b. fig. To reverse, alter, overthrow.a1400 Leg.
