(Pollinar,) Polliner, Pollenar day. The Nativity of St. Apollinaris of Ravenna, July 23, the day of Inverurie's Pollnar (1890), Polander (1845), Fair. Inverurie's two fair days were appointed diebus Nativitatis B.V.M. et S. Apollinaris in the Charter of 1558 1306-1668 Reg. Great S. 288/2 and subsequent charters. According to SND there was a ‘neighbouring chapel of St. Apollinaris’ (SND, s.v. Pollnar fair). — 1605 Inverurie B. Ct. 28 June.
