Prop(e, v.1 Also: propp-. [e.m.E. prop- (1492–3), f. Prop(e n.1 Cf. obs. Du. proppen to prop, stay or bear up.] To prop, in various senses.

1. tr. Only Sc.: To mark out with posts or stakes, also with other markers. Cf. Prop(e n.1 1.pres. 1574 Edinb. B. Rec. IV 21.
